Zimride is partnering with Sierra Business Council to offer big rewards for carpooling. Anyone who Zimrides to Squaw Valley on or before Earth day, Sat. April 21st, will be entered to win one of eight full day ski passes. Additionally, drivers will have access to our special VIP parking area a short walk to the slopes. Zimride is the cheapest, greenest, and most social way to travel.

Recycling Collection Event: 9AM – 2PM
Olympic Valley, Calif.

The 2011 North Lake Tahoe/Truckee Earth Day Festival is slated for Saturday, April 23, from 11am – 5pm at the Village at Squaw Valley USA. This all-ages, community sponsored event is expanding. New this year, regional residence and event goers may drop off old electronic equipment, waste tires and household batteries free of charge. The collection event will occur in the Village Parking lot from 9AM – 2PM. A complete list of items accepted is located at www.tahoetruckeeearthday.org. Absolutely no hazardous waste including items such as paint or fluorescent light bulbs will be accepted.
